"Happy Days" Quilt Emerges

I just love the fabric range that came together in this quilt.  It is by Kumiko Sudo for In The Beginning fabrics.  The quilt is 100% cotton, top, batting and backing.  It is backed with very fresh spots on white, yellow and pink.

New Clean Lines to my Blog

Today's job is to clean up the lines of my blog and have a play with the settings.  I like the clearer look...what do you think?

A Pause In The Flow

Perhaps I should say a "Paws" in the flow.  Not a lot of quilting activity has been going on here in the last couple of weeks as we are being "Kittened".  Yes, Nigella now has  a buddy...  he is so handsome...Bear is his name.  He is all boy energy!

I did take few moments yesterday to check through my stash and sort out a few ideas for fabric for my first quilt class of the year...starting Wed am.  I am doing a huge applique quilt...the class goes for the whole year..once a month.  Can't wait!!

Nigella Arrives and a Quilt is Finished

Our family added a new member yesterday and she is settling in well!!

She slept quietly beside me as I finished this quilt.  (She had been playing for hours this morning....I am quite exhausted)

Wet Weekends Are Perfect For Quilting!

This wet, wet weekend has seen me make great progress with a new quilt.  I bought the "Main Character" fabric a few months ago while visiting Havelock North...at Christabel's.  Liberty of London of course.  Just two pieces of 0.2m was a great place to start.
Later a visit to the Gourmet Quilter added the "Supporting Cast".  Then it was wait for the inspiration to come and start the cutting out.
Some time later this wet weekend arrived and I was off.
